Who hosts it
Westival is put on by Red Post Realty, Gather, and the Portsmouth West End neighborhood.
Red Post Realty
A Portsmouth-based residential brokerage working across the New Hampshire Seacoast, southern Maine, and northern Massachusetts since 2013. Red Post started Westival ten years ago as a thank-you to the West End, and has organized it every year since.
Full disclosure: our co-founder Sabrina is a REALTOR at Red Post, so we're not neutral about this one. We'd be here anyway.

Gather
The Seacoast's hunger-relief nonprofit, feeding neighbors in New Hampshire and Maine since 1816 through its Portsmouth pantry market, mobile markets, and meal programs - more than 1.6 million pounds of food a year. Every dollar Westival raises goes here.

Getting there
West End Yards sits off Route 1 Bypass, a short walk from Islington Street and the rest of the West End. If the lot fills, downtown garages are a ten-minute walk; our Portsmouth parking guide has rates and which ones fill first.
Doing the morning
The 5K, pilates, and HIIT sessions are run by the studios themselves. Check the Facebook event for sign-up details as they're posted, and bring a change of clothes for the afternoon.
Bring the kids
Bouncy house, open space, and a crowd that's mostly neighbors. It's one of the easier Portsmouth festivals to do with small kids in tow.
Make a day of it
The festival ends at 5, and the West End's own restaurants are steps away. Our Portsmouth food and drink guide and the verified happy hour list will land you somewhere good.
