Seacoast Local Loop

Editorial & Sponsorship Policy

The short version: money can buy visibility here, but it can't buy our opinion.

The three labels you'll see

Seacoast Local Loop Pick

Chosen by us because we genuinely think it's worth your time - a place we go, an event we'd bring friends to. Picks cannot be purchased, ever. No amount of sponsorship money moves a business into this label.

Featured Partner

A paid placement - the business pays for extra visibility, and we label it so you always know. Featured Partners still have to meet our quality bar: we don't take money from businesses we wouldn't list anyway.

Verified

The business has confirmed its own details (hours, phone, services) with us. Verified means the information is accurate - it is not an endorsement.

Our rules for paid placements

  • Paid placement never appears in event listings. Events are free to list and always will be.
  • Sponsorship never reorders organic recommendations. A Featured Partner gets its labeled spot - it doesn't push honest results down.
  • One sponsor per section, clearly disclosed next to the placement itself - not buried in a footer.
  • We don't run display-ad clutter, pop-ups, or auto-playing anything.
  • If we have a referral or compensation relationship with a professional we mention, we say so where we mention them.
  • When a listing belongs to our own founders - like Sabrina Saulnier, our co-founder and the REALTOR® behind our moving guides - it carries a "Local Loop Co-founder" label instead of Featured Partner, and every recommendation of her says so plainly. We think she's great, and you deserve to know why we'd say that.

Where the listings come from

Events are gathered every morning from 35+ local sources - venue calendars, town halls, libraries, and chambers of commerce - then de-duplicated and categorized. Every page shows its refresh date. Happy hours are verified in person. Directory ratings are snapshots of public Google ratings, refreshed periodically. Spot an error? Email hello@seacoastlocalloop.com - corrections usually land same-day.

What stays on the site

Everything here is published at our discretion. We may remove or change any listing, article, photo, event, review, or other content at any time, for any reason, without notice - whether that's because a business closed, details went stale, something no longer fits the guide, or we simply decided it wasn't a good fit for readers. A listing on Seacoast Local Loop is not a contract, and appearing here once doesn't guarantee appearing here later. If a paid placement is removed before its term is up, we refund the unused portion.

We keep the directory deliberately small. A shorter, well-checked list is more useful than an everything-in-town list, and it's what lets Loopy give you a real recommendation instead of a phone book.

Your data

We never sell or share your personal information. Email addresses collected here are used for The Local Loop's own newsletter and the things you explicitly request - nothing else.
