About Seacoast Local Loop

The Seacoast's daily answer to "so… what are we doing?"

Seacoast Local Loop is a locally run guide to the New Hampshire Seacoast and southern Maine. Every morning it aggregates events from 35+ local sources - venue calendars, town halls, libraries, and chambers of commerce - into one free, searchable guide covering 9 towns. Right now it tracks 834 upcoming events, plus happy hours, restaurant guides, and a directory of trusted local businesses.

Who's behind it

Seacoast Local Loop is run by Jared and Sabrina Saulnier, a Portsmouth couple who got tired of checking nine different venue calendars, three Facebook pages, and two town websites just to figure out what was happening on a Saturday. So we built the guide we wished existed - one place with everything, updated every morning, free to use.

We live in Portsmouth's West End, eat our way around the Seacoast, and spend our summers at its beaches. Sabrina was raised in Portland, Maine and has called Portsmouth home since 2018; Jared grew up in Stratham and Exeter and has lived on the Seacoast most of his life. We also host travelers in a few downtown Portsmouth rentals, so visitor questions land in our inbox year-round. The happy hours are verified by actually going. The restaurant picks are places we send friends - because this site is about the community we live in, and the people behind these places are our neighbors.

One thing worth saying out loud: Sabrina is a licensed REALTOR® with Red Post Realty, and she writes our moving to the Seacoast guides. She doesn't pay for her spot in the directory - she helps run the site - so her listing says Local Loop Co-founder rather than Featured Partner, and anywhere we point you toward her we say so plainly. You should know whose advice you are reading, especially when it involves the biggest purchase most people ever make.

How our listings work

Every morning around 5am Eastern, our system checks 35+ local sources - venue calendars, town and city event pages, library calendars, chambers of commerce, and community boards across Portsmouth, Kittery, York, Rye, Exeter, Hampton, Dover, Stratham, Newmarket. New events are added, duplicates are merged, and past events are retired. Anyone can also submit an event - a human reviews every submission before it goes live.

How we make money (full transparency)

Event listings are free and always will be - for organizers and for you. Seacoast Local Loop is supported by local businesses that pay for a Featured spot in our business directory and town guides. Paid placements are always labeled "Featured" or "Seacoast Spotlight" - we never mix paid placement into event listings, and being a sponsor never changes how we list events.
