About The Local Loop

The Seacoast's daily answer to "so… what are we doing?"

What is The Local Loop?

The Local Loop is a locally run guide to the New Hampshire Seacoast and southern Maine. Every morning it aggregates events from 35+ local sources — venue calendars, town halls, libraries, and chambers of commerce — into one free, searchable guide covering 9 towns. Right now it tracks 1345 upcoming events, plus happy hours, restaurant guides, and a directory of trusted local businesses.

Updated July 10, 2026 · refreshed every morning

Who's behind it

The Local Loop is run by Jared and Sabrina Saulnier, a Seacoast-area family who got tired of checking nine different venue calendars, three Facebook pages, and two town websites just to figure out what was happening on a Saturday. So we built the guide we wished existed — one place with everything, updated every morning, free to use.

We live here, eat here, and drag our kids around here. The happy hours are verified by actually going. The restaurant picks are places we send friends.

How our listings work

Every morning around 5am Eastern, our system checks 35+ local sources — venue calendars, town and city event pages, library calendars, chambers of commerce, and community boards across Portsmouth, Kittery, York, Rye, Exeter, Hampton, Dover, Stratham, Newmarket. New events are added, duplicates are merged, and past events are retired. Every page shows its refresh date (today: July 10, 2026). Anyone can also submit an event — a human reviews every submission before it goes live.

How we make money (full transparency)

Event listings are free and always will be — for organizers and for you. The Local Loop is supported by local businesses that pay for a Featured spot in our business directory and town guides. Paid placements are always labeled "Featured" or "Seacoast Spotlight" — we never mix paid placement into event listings, and being a sponsor never changes how we list events. Want your business featured? Start here.
