Downtown Dover will glow with community-carved jack-o’-lanterns during the first Dover Pumpkin Stroll, presented by Profile Bank and organized by Communitively through its Discover Dover NH initiative. Take a self-guided evening walk through the Joe B. Parks Riverwalk Public Gardens, where carved pumpkins, decorative lighting, seasonal displays, music, and a family-friendly photo opportunity will help create a festive Halloween atmosphere along the Cochecho River. The event will also extend into downtown Dover. Participating businesses will create their own pumpkin displays, with visitors invited to vote for their favorites. A People’s Choice Business Pumpkin Award will be announced at the end of the evening, and additional business pumpkins will be displayed in Waldron Court. Community members, families, schools, organizations, and groups are invited to contribute carved pumpkins to the display. Pumpkin drop-off will take place from 12–3 p.m. in the Orchard Street Parking Lot on event day. Pumpkins may be picked up from 8–8:30 p.m. Several other family activities are planned nearby throughout the afternoon and evening, including the Dover Main Street Zombie Walk, Woodman Museum Trunk or Treat, and pumpkin-themed activities at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.
